About Vex 8
Vex 8 adds new traps and movement to the series while keeping the thing people come for: precise, fair, unforgiving platforming. Acts are longer and more varied, the checkpoint spacing is kind, and the challenge modes are anything but. It is a good next step after Vex 7.
Every mechanic is introduced safely once before it is used to kill you.
How to Play Vex 8
- Press Play and pick an act.
- Run, jump, slide and wall-jump to the exit.
- Use checkpoints; expect to use all of them.
- Clear the acts, then try the challenges.
Controls
- Arrow keys or WASD: move and jump.
- Down: slide.
- Wall + away: wall-jump.
Tips and Tricks
- New traps appear alone first. Learn them there.
- Sliding under a saw is faster than waiting for it, once you know the timing.
- The challenge modes are for after the acts, not instead.
- Short hops in tight corridors; long jumps only over open gaps.
